Can I put an RV on my lot while the septic is installed?

Yes, an above-ground holding tank lets you live in an RV on your lot before the septic system is installed. The RV drains into the tank, and our truck pumps it on a weekly or set schedule. Confirm with your county that temporary RV occupancy is allowed on the property during construction.

Denton County handles on-site sewage facilities (septic) outside city limits; check the Denton County environmental health office. Inside city limits, the city building department decides.

Call insight: a September 2026 caller building a house wanted to move the RV over "a week or two" before the builder finished in early October, with an above-ground tank serviced weekly. That is the typical timeline we plan around.

How often does an RV holding tank need pumping?

An RV holding tank needs pumping when it reaches about three-quarters full. Two adults using showers, sinks and a toilet often need a weekly pump-out. Conserving water stretches the schedule. We set the frequency from the tank size and how many people live in the RV, then adjust after the first two weeks.

Questions renters ask us

Do you do one-time RV pump-outs?

Yes. Call with your location and tank size and we schedule a pump-out visit.

Is the tank above ground?

Yes. No digging. It sits on level ground near the RV, within hose reach of our truck.

Can I add a porta potty for the builders too?

Yes. Many build sites rent a tank for the RV and a standard unit for the crew on one invoice.

What if the tank fills before service day?

Call us. We add an extra pump-out and may suggest a larger tank or more frequent visits.
