Backyard Wedding Restrooms in North Texas: A Planner's Checklist

How many restrooms does a backyard wedding need?
A backyard wedding needs 1 restroom per 50 guests for 4 hours, plus 1 per 100 guests for a longer reception and 1 more per 100 when the bar is open. A 120-guest, 5-hour wedding with a bar needs 7 stalls by our method. Include at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.
Run your numbers in the calculator.
What should be on the wedding restroom checklist?
The wedding restroom checklist has seven items: guest count and hours, bar or not, restroom type, a level spot within truck reach, a power outlet for a trailer, lighting for evening, and a delivery date the day before. Settle all seven, then book.
- Peak guests and hours.
- Bar open? Add units.
- Trailer, deluxe or standard.
- Level, firm spot the truck reaches.
- Outlet for a trailer.
- Lighting for evening.
- Drop the day before, pick up the day after.
When should I book wedding restrooms?
Book wedding restroom trailers 3 to 6 weeks ahead for spring and fall Saturdays, which are peak wedding season in north Texas. Standard and deluxe units are easier on short notice. One family called us the day before a home wedding; we could help because a standard unit was free.
